Patients were moving between phone calls, email, separate booking tools, and consumer video apps to receive care. Clinicians had no single view of availability, consultation history, documents, prescriptions, or follow-up actions. The provider needed one secure product that could support the complete care journey without making either side learn a complicated clinical system.

Constraints that shaped the build
  • Patient records, consultation notes, and documents required strict role-based access and a complete audit history.
  • Video consultations had to work in the browser across desktop and mobile devices without a separate application.
  • Scheduling needed to handle clinician availability, appointment types, time zones, cancellations, and reminders.
  • The platform had to support individual practitioners and multi-clinic organisations from the same product core.

Map the complete care journey

We worked from both sides of the appointment: how a patient finds and receives care, and how a clinician prepares, consults, documents, and follows up.

Establish the platform core

Identity, organisations, roles, availability, appointments, records, notifications, and audit events became shared platform capabilities rather than page-specific logic.

Prove video early

We tested WebRTC call setup, device permissions, waiting-room behaviour, reconnection, and poor-network fallbacks before building the wider consultation experience around it.

Release by clinical workflow

The first clinicians onboarded with booking and video consultations, followed by patient records, prescriptions, payments, messaging, and multi-clinic administration.
